Every year the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada holds a competition for its members where the work done by the best of the best are judged by a panel of their peers including swimming pool and spa builders, designers, and installers from across Canada to arrive at the best projects for the year.
Only companies that are members in good standing are eligible to participate. Companies join the association to be at the leading edge of their industry, in terms of current knowledge, best practices, and quality of products and installation. The annual competition pushes the members in all of these areas and keeps them at the forefront of their industry.
We are delighted to announce that at the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada’s Awards Ceremony on December 6th, 2016 at the Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo in Niagara Falls we were honoured with the Silver Medal in the category Best Renovation/Restoration of a Concrete Pool, winning against countless entries submitted by companies from all across Canada.
Not only does this give us national recognition and a nod from our peers for our knowledge and quality, it is especially gratifying because this is such a challenging category. In this category we were limited by the existing pool, its existing location, and any deficiencies of design or construction currently existing. It takes a little extra creativity and problem solving but when you get a great result the client is delighted with it is really worth it. And, when you win an award on top of that it truly is gratifying. I thought the team at Land Effects—and it truly is a team effort—did exemplary work and it’s great to be acknowledged by a judging panel of our peers.
The judging panel looks at a myriad of factors including:
- building process
- fit on the lot
…and other aesthetic features of the installation including decking, structures, and other amenities clearly a part of the installation. In this project, for example you can see the water feature adjacent to the pool.
It took our whole team to accomplish this so kudos to the great team we have at Land Effects Outdoor Living Spaces Ltd.
