So you're thinking about putting in a pool.
One of the first steps is to choose a reputable pool contractor. Although there are a lot of competent pool contractors out there, beware, they are not all the same. Some contractors install pools, and that is about the extent of the work they do. This is great for some people who may have a limited budget and are happy to do some of the landscaping work themselves.
Land Effects designs, constructs, and plants your complete outdoor space which includes your pool—the key component—but may also include an outdoor kitchen, cabana, pergola, stone patio, deck, planting, etc. We design and build your complete pool setting, From Design to Ready-to-Enjoy™.
One approach is not better than another (assuming the contractor you choose is reputable), but the key for you is to have a clear understanding of exactly what you can expect from your pool contractor; are you getting just the pool installation, or a completely constructed and landscaped pool setting?
Once you've decided on the approach that is best for you there are a lot of other decisions that you will have to make in terms of pool features and amenities. The list below may not include everything but it will get you started. I could describe each one but I think the pictures tell the story. Features including:
- Pool Size and Shape (See Pool Designs)
- Pool and Perimeter Colours
- Cascades and Streams
- LED Pool Lighting
- Tanning Ledges
- Sheer Descent Waterfalls
Not all options or colours are shown. The pictures below are to be informative regarding what's available and the types of choices that you will have to make. For the most part the options shown are from Blue Hawaiian Fiberglass Pools*.
And, of course, if you are dealing with Land Effects, our designers can help you make the choices that will fit your aesthetic goals.
